Benefits of the Common Impact Data Standard

The Common Impact Data Standard offers six primary advantages:

2. Greater autonomy — organizations retain autonomy over how they describe their work while still providing the transparency funders require.
3. Reduced administrative burden — standardized reporting formats cut down on duplicated paperwork.
4. Enhanced discoverability — semantic web tagging makes impact data easier to find and reference.
5. Improved benchmarking — a common structure makes it easier to benchmark against other measurement standards.
6. Aggregated impact — networks can pool data, see impact across members, and use the data to improve impact.
